Portraits 9. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5253, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during July of 1917 and retired in July of 1948 after 31 years of faithful service. Note the piston rod extensions and the bank of ten semaphore signals in the distance. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#12 of 14)
